JUNO Award-winning singer songwriter Amanda Falk’s third full-length is a testament to her faith in God as well as proof she is in this for the long haul. In Between…is a contemporary Christian pop album, full stop, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have moments of intensity and power. Most of the 14 tracks deal with Falk’s desire to expand her relationship with a superior being (Higher) and the numerous distractions that daily life presents in diverting one from this venerable purpose. Some of her words read like diary entries and are intensely personal in scope. Falk obviously laboured over every lyric here and her skills, augmented by the rich production tapestry provided by Adrian Bradford, makes this album a substantial listen.
